Welcome to the Gilbertson Farm Art Studio!

About the Artist: I was born with my best friend, my twin, Diana. Drawing and painting has always been a part of my life. Over the years, I appreciated receiving recognition for my work. Last year, I decided to retire early after many, many years in a nursing career and plunge into the art world full-time. It has been a remarkable ride.

For nearly twenty years, I have lived in and been in love with my rural setting. People say my paintings depict the passion I have for it. I portray landscapes, my Norwegian Fjord horses and the people of Wisconsin. I incorporate impressionism and abstraction into my artwork. I specialize in acrylic and oils, but find myself using charcoal and pastel oil chalk at times. My sweet little art studio is my joy and refuge.

My beloved sweet Lyle passed away two years ago. One of his last gifts to me was my wooden easel and his belief in my art ability. True, deep and abiding love never leaves you and his memory and our years of fun and folly are everywhere here.
